Big hurt beer where to buy

The service was "okay," perhaps our server was the exception to the norm. She was attentive, but we were missing silverware, napkins, plates and water until we asked for each item. The space itself is really cool though!

We heard mixed reviews about this place and wasn't sure how it was going to be. Had a party of 4 and wanted to sit at one of the tapper booths but it technically is only good to fit 2 people because the leg room is not much at the back of the booths. We ordered several appetizers: spinach artichoke dip, fried pickles, wings - all of which were good. Entrees included: steak sandwich special , grilled ham and cheese, grilled chicken wrap, and a bison burger.

I had the wrap opted for grilled chicken and felt like I was eating fajita style chicken that was blackened a bit and dried out. Asked for extra chipotle mayo to try and make it more flavorful and no luck. The other entrees were good according to friends and we all agreed the French fries were awesome. Service was ok. Obserced several employees chatting with their friends that came in to dine. Also would watch our tables like a hawk to see if they could take plates out of our way which I guess is good but we still had food on them and were still eating.

For a Saturday night and a 7 pm reservation we were all surprised that it wasn't more busy. Some people at the bar and a few tables of had come in, but expected to see more. Outdoor seating was minimal compared to what we thought it was going to be although there were fire pits and tables near them which seemed nice. Overall we would go back and definitely try something different. If we have the same experience next time, we may not go back was an hour drive for us anyways.

Not in the greatest location so maybe that is why we didn't see as many people. Although the inside still looking like the bank was pretty cool. Other than the fried pickles, the food was mediocre at best. The restaurant is one big open space so, when crowded, I can imagine it gets loud. They had a guy who makes balloon animals and does small magic tricks walking around.

It was a bit odd He's great at his job just stuck out a bit. I thank all the staff that made this happen. Marc, Fransisco, Brenda and Mr. I wish he would of met Frank in person but I know he has alot going on. I truely thank you for this great surprise for my Airman!! It was superb, we had a great time!!!!! It was great that big hurt put his place out west!!!! Only go for atmosphere, and drinks. Totally skip the food. Its a shame they don't have a quality food menu. I definitely expected more.

Ordered penne pasta, it only had about 3 pieces of chickenI could tell. On top of that it was cheap shredded dark meat chicken My husband and myself ordered. Total waste my husband just picked at it and didn't finish eating it. I would only expect a chicken breast cut in strips its like that everywhere I go. We eat out extensively its what we always see! Its a gorgeous restaurant its a shame they don't have quality food on their menu. We enjoyed Big Hurt Brewhouse very much in our first visit.

Its location in an old bank building gives it great character, and the clean, almost industrial decor is striking. The menu, while not large, has unique offerings. Highly recommended. The room is interesting with the beautiful high ornate ceiling. We were there on a Monday only the second Monday they had been open and it was pretty empty and as a result quiet. Service was very pleasant and attentive.

Food was pretty typical bar food but competent. Frank Thomas was in the night we were there so that was a really nice surprise! They changed their menu and unfortunately, our favorite dishes, the prime rib and the prime rib sandwich, were removed. We were excited to sit at a booth that had the beer tappers but they weren't working. The manager was very apologetic and bought us our first round of drinks.

I had the burger which was good and my husband had the ribs which were over-seasoned to the point that they were barely edible. We've been there several other times and have always had great service and a great meal.

This was hopefully just an off-day and not a sign of things to come. We'll definitely be back to give them another shot! I would go back with a group of friends, simply because it's close to my neighborhood. Big Hurt Brewery is definitely worth going back to.

The service was excellent, food was great, and the portions were just enough. The beer selection is small for the breweries offerings but good, however the bar has import, and domestic beers available.

As soon as I heard that Frank Thomas was opening a restaurant I knew I would go and which friends we would go with. They feared parking would be an issue, not so there is a great lot with access from both Cermak and Oak Park. I enjoyed the food, the beer and the service was great. The old bank building provides a wonderful room with a high ceiling, great view but unfortunately it also causes the room to be very loud. TV's all around, add to to the atmosphere, while we were there it was baseball and soccer.

We sampled different brews and enjoyed the variety. If you are not adventurous enough to try one of the house brews there is a full list of beers available.

Everyone one in our group had a different entree and we all enjoyed our meals. The double burger was great. The fish and chips looked good as well. I think this is a place I will go again, overall I enjoyed the adventure.

Solid sports bar menu. Great beer selections. Modern, fun decor. Great to see The Big Hurt working the room, meeting patrons and having fun! The food was typical bar type food but the service was really good.

Probably would go back if in the area. I had a reservation a few weeks ahead of the date for a party of We had dinner at Big Hurt before going to a show at Wire in Berywn. We had a group of 7 and everyone loved their dinner! Started with a great spinach and artichoke dip and chili fries. Our party had ribs, ribeye steak, a hamburger, flatbread pizza, rotisserie chicken and mac and cheese with pulled pork.

Great service, plenty of parking. Loved the decor of the old bank building. Needs a few tweaks, but hopefully it will work the bugs out and be a success. Berwyn could use a place like this. Descent food but I am a bit apprehensive about the staff. Very strange. The restaurant sits inside an old bank. The owners remodeled and it looks very nice. So, I guess I was expecting a service better than your Applebee's.

Very accommodating and made some excellent appetizer and entree suggestions. The service was great and the food was pretty good. I like how the restaurant is set up and it would be great for sporting events.

Really wanted this place to be great, but it's bad. Tried it once when it opened and hoped it would get better as they learned. It hasn't. This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend. Figured why not give it a shot. After reading some reviews about poor service and lackluster food was kinda skeptical. But upon arrival all the staff was very friendly and attentive, hostesses, wait staff and even the bus boys. Appetizers and entrees arrived in a very timely fashion.

Appetizers that we tried were the buffalo wings and the fried pickles, both were excellent. Variety of sauces to have on the wings. Fried pickles had a nice crunchy batter on them, not soggy at all. Also both amazing, although the burger was a little charred on the outside it was cooked to desired temperature on the inside.

Desserts are pretty standard and delicious. All and all definitely will go back to try some of the other entrees. There are few in house beers that they Brew themselves. These beers are definitely lacking in taste, nothing to special.

There are several local breweries that have beer on tap here, i. Revolution, Lagunitas, various others. Also Frank Thomas, The Big Hurt, is usual at the restaurant sitting at the bar and talking to customers. He does not shy away from having people asking to have there pictures taken, very nice guy. Taking a picture with him made our night!

We hadn't been here, and as Sox fans wanted to give it a try. We had a reservation which probably wasn't needed but certainly got us a nice table quickly. The dome ceding was beautiful. Thought there might be more Big Frank memorabilia, but it was still nicely decorated. Service was good, food was very good as well and reasonably priced.

One member of my party had a steak that was excellent! The flatbread pizza and the wings were exceptional. This was a great experience - the only thing that would have made it better is if the Big Hurt had been in the house! Thanks Frank!!! Memo to non-baseball fans: Frank Thomas, also known as the Big Hurt, was arguably the best first baseman in White Sox history, so good that even a Cubs fan could admire him. But as an open-minded beer drinker, there was only one way to be sure this wasn't just bad beer cloaked in a marketing scam.

In a word, no. Not even close. Full flavored? Yes, but seven percent alcohol will do that for any beer. All-star taste? I'm not sure what that is. Smooth finish?
